OVERVIEW / HISTORY
Country Fresh is unique among the nation’s fresh mushroom suppliers. It is the only cooperative of individual mushroom farms. Each of the six grower/owners represents an average of three generations in mushroom farming. Our growers take a lot of pride in operating their family farms to produce the highest quality mushrooms for our customers.
Country Fresh evolved over the years from a modest start in 1925 to the business that it is today, supplying fresh mushrooms and mushroom products to a diverse customer base throughout the eastern United States. The future is bright as new family members are entering the business and planned farm expansions and innovations are in the works. It is an exciting time for us.
Our mission has remained steadfast over the years: We are determined to be the preferred vendor for all mushroom products in our expanding market area.

As family farmers our shareholders are extremely proud of the fact that the "Next Generation" is actively involved in the management of the farms. Country Fresh recognizes that succession planning is essential to the continued viability and growth of our company. We look to the future with confidence that Country Fresh will continue to be a preferred supplier of quality mushrooms.
LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
At Country Fresh our grower/owners are looking to the future. In recent years there have been expansions or farm replacements with state of the art facilities. One, pictured at left, is currently under construction and will be operational by summer of 2008. In order to maintain our position as a preferred supplier to our valued customers it is critical that we continue to stay on the cutting edge of mushroom farm technology.
